CAN WE HAVE
A WORD?
(¿PODEMOS HABLAR?)

A light outage catches two flatmates by surprise at an inconvenient time. A neighbor, who is also experiencing the blackout, convinces them to play a word game. This consists of creating as many words as possible using the letters present in one single word (chosen by another neighbor/audience member). These words will be the inspiration for the improvised scenes that will have an added surprising factor: projected stage directions that will be written on the spot by one of the improvisers.

This show explores the use of words; How a single word can become a plethora of inspiration for an endless variety of stories and how text can be used in many different ways on stage when improvising.  We would also like to start a conversation on how in a time like today, where we have the tools to be connected more than ever, we seem to be more disconnected than before.
