CAN WE HAVE A WORD?

A sudden power outage catches two roommates at an inopportune moment. A neighbor, also experiencing the blackout, convinces them to play a word game. The game involves creating as many words as possible using the letters in a single word (selected by another neighbor/audience member). These words will inspire improvised scenes, which will have a surprising added element: stage directions projected live by one of the improvisers.

This show explores the power of words; how a single word can become a Pandora's box of inspiration for countless stories, and how text can be used in diverse ways on stage. We'd also like to start a conversation about how, today, despite having the tools to be more connected than ever, we seem to be more disconnected than before. So, can we talk?
