What the #%&! is a didascalia?
Stage directions are those texts written in a play that are not directly spoken by the characters.
These are instructions for providing information on the various aspects of stage performance, from the actions or intentions of the characters to the spatial creation of the scene.
Do you want to share information about the platform without being too obvious? Would you like to find another tool to replace the narrator? Are you looking for a different way to introduce your characters beyond monologue?
In this weekend workshop we will explore the different types of stage directions found in theatre and you will learn how to use this resource in your improvised scenes.
